Kim and I are expecting a baby (little girl, due May 11) and living decently far away from some of our family so we figured this would be a good way to keep in touch, share great photos, and such.
To start, we've been working hard on the house to get ready for our little girl, doing all sorts of things like buying new living room furniture (old furniture wasn't quite as comfortable for Kim's growing condition and tables had wobbly legs we had failed to fix), retro-fitting our house with an attic TV antenna so we could cut cable and save money in the future, bought a new TV for our bedroom to take advantage of the over the air HD, cleared out the back bedroom to turn into a nursery, and finally started working on the nursery.
Two weekends ago (the 9th and 10th) Uncle Steven, Aunt Pattie, Amanda, Justin, Maradee, and Brandi came and helped us paint the walls and the shelves.
Last weekend (the 16th and 17th), the soon-to-be grandparents came to Houston in order to help put up the border, install the shelves, and buy/assemble the crib.
Some of the best shots are in this blog, and the rest of our pictures are in the link below to my picasa web album. Once there you can see stuff like pictures from our wedding, snow in Deer Park in December of 2008, and other fun stuff.
